How much does a website cost on the Sunshine Coast?
On 22 October 2026, I checked two published entry-level packages from Sunshine Coast studios. They are examples with their own scope and tax wording, not the lowest or highest prices on the coast:

Each page sets its own scope: the number of pages, who writes the words, editing access and what hosting covers. Offers whose published amounts did not agree with each other were left out. Check the scope and the final GST-inclusive amount in your own quote.
Short answer: compare the writing, editing setup, hosting and ownership as well as the build price. A monthly rental and a site you buy also have different exits.

Ask what work the quote removes from your week
If the owner must write every page, choose and resize images, set up the form and work out the page order, a lower build price may leave a large amount of preparation. Ask who writes, what you supply and how many revision rounds are included. If you want to edit the site yourself, say so before buying a static package that has no editor.
Calculate the second year too
For Numencia Starter, the Year 1 website-and-hosting subtotal is $890, including twelve months of hosting and one hour of small edits across that year. Year 2 hosting is $180 if chosen for twelve months, making $1070 over 24 months. Occasional paid edits, optional Hands-free changes and $250 content pieces are separate choices. Three things to get in writing
Get the page plan and word allowance. Get the running costs and what happens if you stop paying for support. Get whose name the domain is in and which files are handed over. A useful quote answers those questions before a deposit, rather than hiding them in a sales call.
Start with the scope, then choose the price
List the services that need their own explanation, the questions customers ask and the action you want them to take. That gives you a way to compare quotes on the work needed, not only a page count. If the existing site already does most of that, ask for a check before assuming a rebuild is necessary.
