Concept build: an electrician website

This six-page concept separates three electrical services so a visitor can find the job they need and understand what to include in a quote request. The business and examples are fictional.

Services

Find the service that matches the job. Switchboard work, lighting and power points each have their own page in this demonstration. Start with the job you want to describe, then send the suburb and the details needed for a reply.

Service area. The Caloundra area is shown here only to demonstrate the layout. This fictional business does not provide an electrical service. A real site would list the suburbs the electrician confirms they cover.

LICENCE DETAILS WOULD BE VERIFIED FOR THE REAL BUSINESS

About

Know who will be doing the work

A real electrician's page would introduce the person or team, the kinds of jobs they take and the licence information they confirm. This concept does not invent years of experience, qualifications, clients or completed jobs.

LICENCE DETAILS WOULD BE VERIFIED FOR THE REAL BUSINESS.

Before publication for a real business, the licence wording and any required display would be checked against the appropriate official source. A decorative badge would not replace those facts.

Describe the job before asking for a quote

Choose the service, give the suburb and describe the work you have in mind. Do not remove covers, open equipment or investigate a fault to complete this demonstration.

Demo only. Nothing is sent. For an electrical emergency, use an appropriate real emergency service; this fictional page cannot respond.

The six pages

Home · About and licence information · Switchboard work · Lighting · Power points · Contact and service area. A privacy page is additional in a real build.

What this concept must prove

The visitor can identify the service, see the actual coverage when provided, find confirmed licence information and ask about the job without a misleading emergency promise. In this fictional demonstration, every one of the six views carries the same footer: LICENCE DETAILS WOULD BE VERIFIED FOR THE REAL BUSINESS. No plausible invented licence number is used.
